Plangently tells you how something sounds: in a loud, deep, sad way. “The horn sounded plangently over the fields.” It is the adverb of plangent, and it lives in the same rare, literary world. You will see it in careful prose. You will almost never hear it in a shop or a classroom chat.
淒厲地、哀傷地(形容發聲的方式;書面語)
