Pinky here is another spelling of : your smallest finger. Americans write pinky more often; is also fine. A “pinky swear” is the children’s promise where two people hook those fingers. Though actually, pinky can also mean “a bit pink” in colour, from pink + -y — but that is a different use, and this entry is the finger.
