Physique is the size and look of someone’s whole body — how broad, how lean, how strong or slight they appear — not the look of the face alone, and not clothes. People use it when the body’s build matters: an athlete’s physique, a dancer’s physique, a weak physique after a long illness. It came into English from French, and it still feels a little dressed-up; in casual talk many people would say build, body, or shape. It is about appearance and structure, not about whether someone is a good person, and it is not the school subject physics.
