p.w. is a written short form of per week — each week. British ads love it: rent £200 p.w., or a wage of £450 p.w. It does the same job as p.a., only the time slice is a week, not a year. You read it as “a week” or “per week,” not as the letters. You will not hear it in speech, and you will not see it much in US writing, where people tend to write “/week” or “a week” instead.
