    An oviduct is a tube inside a woman or a female animal. Eggs travel along it from the ovary toward the womb — or, in a bird, toward the outside world, as a laid egg. There are two of them. In humans, doctors more often say Fallopian tube, which is the same pair of tubes; oviduct is the more general biology word, used for people and for other animals. Though actually the egg is not made in the oviduct. It is made in the ovary and then moves through this tube. If the egg meets sperm here, a baby can start.
