An orgasm is the peak of sexual feeling — the strongest, short burst of pleasure the body can reach during sex, or when someone touches their own sex parts. After it, the body usually needs a little time to settle. People also use it as a verb: to orgasm means to reach that peak. Doctors and teachers use the word straight; in jokes, people stretch it for any huge thrill, which is loose and a bit loud. It is an adult word you will meet in health class, in films, and in honest talk about bodies. It is not the same as love, and it is not a measure of whether sex was 'good' for everyone involved. Some people orgasm easily; some need more time; some rarely do — all of that is ordinary.
