When we say someone is opinionated, we mean they hold very strong views and they put those views forward as if there is little space for anyone else. Almost everyone has opinions; this word is about the manner. The person is sure, often loud, and may not listen well. It is usually a little — a quiet way of saying “too sure” or “too .” Friends sometimes use it with a smile about small things (“I’m very opinionated about ”), but in a serious description it still leans negative. It does not tell you whether the person is right; it tells you how they carry their views.
