Odorless is the American spelling of : having no smell. A thing that is odorless gives your nose nothing to work with. In daily life that can be a selling point — odorless paint, an odorless cream — because nobody wants the product to leave a smell in the room. In science and safety talk it can be a warning. Some gases are odorless, which means you cannot smell them coming, so you may not know they are there. Though actually, gas companies often add a smell on purpose so a leak is easier to notice; the gas in its natural state may be odorless, but the gas in your usually is not. British English and means the same thing. It is a plain, slightly technical adjective, not slang.
組成From odor + -less. The ending -less is the old English way of saying “without,” from Old English -lēas, from Proto-Germanic *-lausaz.
