Ocular means “about the eyes” or “about seeing”. It is a doctor’s and scientist’s word, not a kitchen-table word. You will meet ocular muscles, an ocular exam, ocular disease, or an ocular migraine — a migraine that messes with what you see. If you only mean “I saw it with my eyes”, say that, or use visual. You would not walk into a shop and ask for “ocular glasses”. There is a close extra use in old lab language: the ocular is also the of a microscope, the bit you look through, because it is the part for the eye. Same idea, slightly different job.
