Obsequiously is how someone acts when they are too eager to please a person with power. It is an adverb, so it tells you about the manner: they nod obsequiously, they smile obsequiously, they agree obsequiously. The feeling is always negative. In simple talk you might say they were sucking up, or doing it just to please the boss.
