Nodular is a describing word for something that has small round raised parts, or that is made of them — the same little swellings called . A doctor may say a thyroid feels nodular, meaning the surface is not smooth but has little round lumps. A gardener may talk of nodular roots on beans, where tiny round swellings grow on the root. The word belongs to medical and scientific talk. In ordinary life people say bumpy, , or “it has little lumps.” Nodular is not itself the lump: the lump is the ; nodular tells you what something is like. It is also not a computer word, even though English has node in that world too.
組成From nodule + -ar. The ending -ar makes a describing word meaning “of or like” that thing.
