1. 1

Nigh is an old word for 'near' or 'almost'. You do not hear it much in normal talk today — mostly in old writing, in the Bible, or when someone wants to sound serious or a little funny and old-fashioned, like 'the end is nigh' (the end is coming soon).

    「接近;快到了」(較古老、文言的說法)
