A newsman is a man who or reports the news for a paper, radio, or television. It is an old-fashioned word now, because it points to a man, and many people who do this work are not men. Today we more often say reporter or journalist, which fit anyone. You still hear newsman in older writing, in American English, and in the plural newsmen. There is , but it is less common than just using reporter.
