    A newshound is a reporter who is always after a story, like a dog following a smell. The word is informal and a little colourful — papers and films like it. It can sound (this person will not let a story go) or a little teasing. It is not a job title on a door. It is also not the same as paparazzi, who chase famous people with cameras; a newshound is hunting news, not only celebrities.
