1. 1

A newbuild is a house, or a group of houses, that is being built now or has only just been finished. You hear it most in British English, especially from people who sell homes. They set a newbuild against an older house that someone has already lived in. In ads it often means a whole new street or block, not one room that was repaired. Americans more often say new construction or a newly built home. It is everyday business language, not a poetic word. You may also see it written new-build.

    新建案、新成屋(英式房地產用語;台灣看房時說的「新建案」最接近。中國大陸較常說「新盤」「新房」)
