When something is new-look, it has been changed so it seems more modern or more attractive than before. You nearly always put it in front of a noun, the way newspapers do: a new-look team, a new-look shop, a new-look website. It is not about looking with your eyes. It is about a new face or a new style. People reach for it after a makeover — new colours, new players, new design — and it sounds like news-speak: useful, a bit shiny, not very formal. Though actually, the most famous New Look was a 1947 fashion show in Paris, with a small waist and a very full skirt; people still use those two words as a name for that style. Today's new-look is usually just “the latest version, dressed up.”
「new-look」指經過改變，看起來比以前更現代、更吸引人。它幾乎都放在名詞前面，報紙也常這樣用，例如 a new-look team、a new-look shop、a new-look website。它講的不是用眼睛看，而是新面貌或新風格，通常用在改頭換面之後，例如換了新顏色、新球員或新設計。
