    Netiquette is the manners of the internet: how to be polite when you write, post, or reply online. It covers small things — not shouting in ALL CAPS, not forwarding junk, not dropping a private message into a public place — and bigger ones, like not attacking people. The word is a blend, and it sounds a little 1990s, but the idea is still alive. People now often say “don’t be rude online” or point to “community ”; netiquette is still understood, just a bit old-fashioned as a label.
