Neo is a small piece added to the front of other words to mean 'new,' usually to describe a newer version of an old idea, style, or movement. You'll see it in words like 'neoclassical' (a newer style based on old classical art) or 'neo-Nazi' (a modern person who follows old Nazi beliefs). On its own, 'neo' isn't really used as a normal word in a sentence — it mostly shows up attached to the front of other words.
