Necrophilia is a sexual interest in dead bodies. It is a clinical, serious word — the kind you meet in psychology, law, or news about crime, not in ordinary conversation. It names a rare and strongly taboo desire. You do not need this word for daily life; you may meet it in a newspaper, a crime story, or a horror film. It is not a joke word, and it is not the same as being interested in death in a sad or scientific way.
