1. 1

A natural-born person is someone who has always had a quality or skill, as if it came with them and they did not have to learn it. We say “a natural-born teacher” or “a natural-born leader” when the person seems made for that work. It is a warm, slightly old-fashioned compliment.

    A natural-born person一個 natural-born 的人,is是 has always had一直擁有 a quality or skill某種特質或本領 someone who的人,as if彷彿 it那 came with them跟著他一起出生,and they did not have to learn it他不必學。when當 the person這個人 seems made for that work看起來就是為那份工作而生時,we我們 say會說 “a natural-born teacher”天生的老師 or或 “a natural-born leader”天生的領導者。It它 is是 warm溫暖、slightly old-fashioned稍微老派 a compliment的一種稱讚。

It does not mean the person was born in a forest, and it does not mean “born in nature.” Though actually, there is another, legal use, especially in the United States: a “natural-born citizen” is someone who was a citizen from birth, not someone who became a citizen later. That legal use is narrower and more formal.

It它 does not mean不是說 the person這個人 was born in a forest出生在森林裡,and it does not mean也不是 “born in nature”「生在大自然裡」的意思。Though actually不過其實,there is有 another, legal use另一個法律上的用法,especially尤其 in the United States在美國:a “natural-born citizen” is是 from birth一出生 was a citizen就是公民 someone who的人,not不是 later後來 became a citizen才成為公民的。That legal use那個法律用法 is narrower比較窄,and more formal也比較正式。

In everyday talk, the skill meaning is the one students will hear first.

In everyday talk在日常談話裡,the skill meaning「本領」這個意思 is the one才是 students學生 will hear first會最先聽到的。
