A natural-born person is someone who has always had a quality or skill, as if it came with them and they did not have to learn it. We say “a natural-born teacher” or “a natural-born leader” when the person seems made for that work. It is a warm, slightly old-fashioned compliment. It does not mean the person was born in a forest, and it does not mean “born in nature.” Though actually, there is another, legal use, especially in the United States: a “natural-born citizen” is someone who was a citizen from birth, not someone who became a citizen later. That legal use is narrower and more formal. In everyday talk, the skill meaning is the one students will hear first.
組成A hyphenated compound: natural (from birth, not learned) + born (come into the world). The quality feels as if it arrived at birth.
