A nailbrush is a small brush with short, stiff bristles, made for scrubbing under and around your . It usually has no handle, or only a small one — you hold the whole thing in your palm and scrub. You find one by the sink in a kitchen or workshop, and hospitals and clinics keep them for scrubbing hands before treating patients. People who work with their hands — mechanics, , painters, cooks, builders — need one, because ordinary soap and water will not lift dirt out of the small gap under the nail. The word is written as one word (nailbrush) or as two (nail brush); both are fine and you will see both.
