Murrayfield is a famous rugby ground in Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. It is where Scotland's national rugby team plays its home games: when people say a match is 'at Murrayfield,' they mean this stadium, not some ordinary field. Sports reporters use the name as if everyone already knows it — a packed Murrayfield, a win at Murrayfield. Other big events are sometimes held there too, but rugby is what made the name famous. It is a proper name, always with a capital M. Outside rugby circles many have never heard it; inside those circles it is as well known as a country's main stadium should be. You will also see muscle-bound written with a in other words, but this Murrayfield is one solid place-name.
