Moonstone is a kind of gemstone used in jewellery. It is usually milky white or pale blue-white, and when you turn it the light seems to float inside, like moonlight on water. People cut it for rings, , and necklaces. It is a real stone from the earth, not a piece of the Moon; the name comes only from that soft glow. You mostly meet the word in jewellery shops and on labels, not in everyday talk about the sky.
