Money-making describes a product, a plan, or a business that brings in a lot of money — or that is meant to. A money-making business is one that earns well; a money-making scheme is a plan to get rich, and that second one can sound a bit suspicious, as if someone is more interested in cash than in doing a good job. You can also talk about the money-making side of something (a film’s money-making power, a club’s money-making events). It is everyday English, a little informal, and you will see it with or without a (money-making / moneymaking). Though actually, it does not always mean “already rich.” People use it for something that looks likely to pay, even before the money has come in. It is about earning, not about already having wealth.
money-making 描述的是能帶來大量金錢的產品、計畫或生意，也可以指打算這樣做的東西。「a money-making business」是生意做得好、賺得多；「a money-making scheme」則是想靠它致富的計畫，語氣有點可疑，像是人只顧著錢、不太在乎把事情做好。也可以說「the money-making side of ＿＿」，指某件事物中負責賺錢的那一面。這是日常用語，語氣稍微口語，寫成一個字或兩個字都可以。重點在「賺」，不在「本來就有錢」，所以還沒進帳、看起來很可能賺錢的東西，也可以這樣形容。
