A misprint is a small mistake that got printed — a wrong letter, a missing word, a number typed wrong — in a book, a newspaper, a menu, a sign. It is a noun, and you use it kindly: nobody meant it, and everybody has seen one. The usual sentence is 'it must be a misprint' or 'there's a misprint on page four', said when a price or a date looks impossible. A misprint is specifically about printed things; that is where it differs from typo, which is the everyday word and now covers anything typed, including your phone messages. Typo is casual and very common; misprint sounds a touch older and more , and stays close to paper and ink.
