Meekly tells you how someone does something: in a quiet, gentle way, without arguing. They accept what happens, or what they are told, and they do not push back. You put it with a verb: she smiled meekly; he meekly said yes. It carries the same feeling as meek — not loud, not fighting — and the same extra shade: it can sound as if the person is too ready to give in. It is a little more common in writing than in casual talk.
