1. 1

Measureless means so great that no number, no stick, no scale could take its size. Measureless sky, measureless love: it is the language of poems, hymns, and rather old books. In ordinary talk people say endless, huge, or instead. The word is honest about itself — without measure — and that is the whole idea. You can use it, but if you drop it into everyday chat it will sound as if you have opened a very old story.
