Maxillofacial is a doctor's word. It means "about the upper jaw and the face together." You almost always meet it in hospital names and job titles, especially maxillofacial surgery: the work of repairing bones, joints, and soft tissue of the face and jaws after an accident, a , or a birth difference. It sits between dentistry and face surgery. It is not a beauty-salon "facial," and it is not only about teeth, though teeth and the jaw joint often come into the same clinic. It is a formal, technical adjective; ordinary English would just say of the jaw and face. Though actually, the two halves are quite plain once they are split: maxillo- is "of the maxilla," the upper jawbone, and facial is "of the face."
