If goods or skills are marketable, people want them, so they can be sold fairly easily. A marketable skill is one employers will pay for; marketable goods are ones will take. The word lives mostly in business and careers talk. Though actually, it can sound a little cold about a person, as if you were a product on a shelf. “Not marketable” does not always mean “bad”: the thing may be fine, but nobody is buying that kind of thing right now.
