Macroeconomic is the adjective for things that belong to the big picture of money and work in a whole country, or in a large part of the world: prices in general, how many people have jobs, how much a country makes and spends, whether the economy is growing or shrinking. A macroeconomic policy is a plan by a government or a central bank for that whole system, not a plan for one shop or one family.
