Lymphatic is how we talk about — that clear body liquid that helps you fight infection — and about the network that carries it. We say the lymphatic system for the thin tubes and nodes that move around. A doctor may also say “a lymphatic” for one of those tubes. So the liquid itself is ; lymphatic means “of that liquid and its system.” You will meet it in health class and hospital English: lymphatic vessels, lymphatic drainage. Though actually, in older books lymphatic can also mean slow and lacking energy, from an old idea about body fluids; that use is rare now and a bit literary. Do not treat lymphatic as a second name for the liquid.
