行李架（車廂內）
You can think of a luggage rack as a place to put your bag down that is not you. The word is just its two halves: luggage, the bags you travel with, and rack, an open frame for holding things. Both meanings are the same frame; only its position changes, and the position decides what you have to do with your bag when you get there.
luggage rack 可以想成「一個不是你自己的地方，讓你把行李放下來」。這個字就是兩塊直接疊起來：luggage（旅行帶的行李）＋ rack（敞開的架子）。兩個意思其實是同一個架子，差別只在它裝在哪裡。裝在車廂裡，就在你頭頂上方，抬手放上去就好。裝在車頂上，就在整台車的外面，東西得用繩子綁牢。位置一變，動詞就跟著變：車內是 put、lift，車頂是 tie、strap。共同點是它永遠敞開，看得到，也因此東西會忘、會滑、會掉。
