Logistic here means relating to the logistics of doing something: the planning of how you move people, food, tools, and timing so a plan can actually happen. Armies used this idea first; businesses now talk about a logistic problem when the trucks, warehouses, and dates do not line up. In everyday English many people prefer the longer adjective logistical for this meaning (a logistical nightmare). Logistic is not wrong, but it can sound a little more technical. It is not the same as logical, which means “makes sense, follows reason.” And in higher maths you may later meet a completely different logistic — the logistic curve or logistic regression — an S-shaped graph named in the 1800s beside the logarithmic curve. That maths use is not about trucks. The word you are learning now is the planning-and-supply one.
