    A logician is someone who studies logic, or who is especially skilled in it — the rules of clear reasoning, of what follows from what. It is a university and philosophy word, not a job you see on a shop sign. A logician may work on arguments, on symbols, on the shape of thinking itself. Though actually it does not mean “a person who is always sensible in daily life.” Plenty of careful people are not logicians, and a logician can still lose their keys. It names a specialist, not a personality.
