Lithographic is the adjective for lithography, the printing method in which a picture or pattern is prepared so that ink sticks to some parts of a surface and not to others. Originally that surface was limestone; now it is often a metal plate. So we say a lithographic print, a lithographic plate, lithographic ink. The word does not name the method itself (that is lithography) and it does not name the picture (that is a lithograph). It only flags that something belongs to that way of printing. It is a workshop and art-history word, not a word for the night market.
