Light-headedness is the name of that floaty, unsteady feeling — the noun for being light-headed. You cannot think clearly; you may not move steadily. Fever, drink, standing up too fast, or not eating can bring it on. Doctors ask about it as a symptom: when it comes, whether you also see spots, whether you faint. A short spell after you stand up is common. Lasting light-headedness is a body problem, not a personality. It does not mean someone is silly or not serious.
