- 1頭暈、頭昏
When you are light-headed, your head feels floaty, as if it had no weight. You cannot think clearly, and you may not walk steadily. Fever does this; so does alcohol; so does standing up too fast, or skipping a meal. The room may tilt for a second. That is the sense meet. The same “light” once also meant “no mental weight” — giddy, not serious — though actually that older use is much rarer now, and it is easy to mix with light-hearted, which is a different word and a happy feeling.
light-headed 指的是頭輕飄飄的感覺，好像頭沒有重量一樣。發燒、喝酒、站起來太快或漏吃一餐，都可能讓人這樣。眼前的房間可能會晃一下，思緒也不太清楚，走路可能不穩。這是學習者最常遇到的意思，可以想成「頭暈、頭昏」。
以前這個字也有「沒什麼分量、有點輕浮」的意思，但現在很少見。另一個字 light-hearted 指的是開心、輕鬆的心情，畫面完全不同。
