    A know-all is someone who behaves as if they know everything. You say it when you are : they jump in with answers, they correct other people, they leave no room for anyone else. It is British English, and it is on purpose — it shows you do not like that behaviour. In American English the same person is a know-it-all. Though actually, the word does not mean they really do know everything. It means they act that way. A quiet expert is not a know-all. A know-all is the showing-off, the ‘I already knew that’ feeling.
