Judicial means “about judges, courts, or the decisions they make.” A judicial process is a court process. A judicial decision is a judge’s decision, not a politician’s or a teacher’s. We use it for the legal side of the state: judicial power, a judicial inquiry, judicial review (when a court checks whether a government act is lawful). It is a cool, official adjective. You put it in front of a noun; you do not use it to praise someone for being wise. Though actually, English speakers mix this up all the time with , which does mean “wise and careful.” A judicial person is not a careful person — they are a person (or thing) tied to the courts. The word stays in news, law, and textbooks. In the street, people just say court or legal.

組成From Latin iūdicō (“I judge”), itself from iūdex (“judge”), built from iūs (“law, right”) plus a root meaning “to show / to point.” English took the adjective for “of a judge or of judgment.”
