If you call someone judgmental, you are saying they criticise people too quickly — they decide someone is bad, lazy, or wrong before they know the whole story — and you do not like that. It is a word, not a compliment. “Don’t be so judgmental.” Though actually, judgment itself can be a good thing: a person with good judgment makes wise choices. Judgmental flipped that: it means using your judgment as a stick. Fairly common, a little formal, much used in talk about manners and feelings. American spelling is judgmental (judgment has no extra e); British English often judgemental.
