Ivied means covered with ivy — the climbing plant with dark shiny leaves. You almost only meet it in writing, especially when someone is painting a picture of an old house, a wall, a cottage, or a church: “the ivied walls of the college.” It is ivy plus -ed, the same pattern as wooded (covered with woods) or (having a beard). You would not usually say it in the shops; “covered with ivy” is how people talk. It does not mean “like the Ivy League,” and it is not a verb tense students need to learn.
