Intrinsically means by nature, or as part of what it is. If a job is intrinsically interesting, the work itself is interesting — not the pay, not the title. If something is intrinsically dangerous, the danger sits in the thing, even when you are careful. People in schools and psychology use it a lot with motivation: intrinsically motivated means you do it because you care about the thing, not because someone is watching or paying. It is a formal adverb. In everyday talk you can often say by nature, in itself, or just by being what it is.
