    This is the adverb of insolent: you do something in a rude, no-respect way. “He answered insolently” means the disrespect was in the manner — the tone, the look, the timing — not only in the words. Like insolent, it belongs more to stories, schools, and formal complaint than to everyday chat. A friend would more often say , or “he had such an attitude.” Same idea as the adjective, just describing how the act was done.
