Infinitude is a number or amount without limit: an infinitude of stars, the infinitude of space, an infinitude of possible answers. It is a noun. Infinity is the everyday cousin; infinitude feels more literary, a little old-fashioned, more at home in an essay than in the shop. Though actually, it does not name a different mathematical object. It is mostly a stylish way to say “an endless amount of.” You can live a full English life and almost never need to say it aloud.
