If something happens inexplicably, it happens and nobody can say why. The adverb often sits next to a verb: inexplicably stopped, inexplicably left, inexplicably kind. It is formal, like inexplicable. Though actually, some people stretch it toward “oddly” or even “very” (“inexplicably tired”). Careful speakers keep it for “with no reason I can find,” not as a fancy way to say “very.”
