Incorporation is the noun for the act or result of incorporating: taking something in so it becomes part of a larger group, system, plan, or whole. “The incorporation of student ideas made the handbook fairer.” The word is a little formal in this use; people often just say “including” or “adding.” Though actually, in business and law, incorporation is also the process of forming a corporation — the legal step that lets a shop become a company and, in the US, put Inc. after its name. Same “make it one body” picture, two jobs. Students mix this with corporation: incorporation is the doing (or the legal birth); a corporation is the company you then have.
