To incorporate something is to take it in so that it becomes part of a larger group, system, plan, or whole. You do not leave it sitting beside the rest; you build it in. A teacher incorporates games into a lesson. A city incorporates a smaller town. A plan incorporates new ideas. The verb is a little formal; in everyday talk people often say “include” or “build in.” Though actually, English also uses this verb in business: to incorporate a company is to turn it into a corporation, a legal “body” that can own things and be sued. Same picture underneath — making one body — but the classroom meaning is “include as a working part,” and the company meaning is a special legal use.
