    If someone is ill-disposed, they are or unsympathetic. You almost always say ill-disposed towards (or toward) a person, a plan, or an idea: they are not on your side; they do not wish you well. It is a formal, slightly old word. In ordinary talk people say , against, or not keen on. Though actually, not ill-disposed towards can be a polite way to say someone is willing to help, without sounding warm. Disposed here does not mean 'threw away'. It means 'inclined' — how you are minded to feel. Ill-disposed is badly inclined: your feelings lean the wrong way.
