On a website or in a computer document, a word, a picture, or a bit of text you can click. When you click it, the computer takes you to another page, another place on the same page, or another file. It often looks different — , or a different colour — so you know it will do something. Though actually, most people just say link in everyday talk; hyperlink is the fuller, slightly more technical word, and you will see it in school computing and in older web writing. It is also a verb: to hyperlink something is to turn it into one of these joins. A picture can be a hyperlink just as easily as a word can.
組成From hyper- (beyond, over) + link, or a blend of hypertext + link. The idea is a link that jumps across into another document.
