If something is hurried, it was done faster than usual because there was not enough time, or because someone felt they had to rush. A hurried meal, a hurried goodbye, a hurried look at the homework: the picture is of cutting corners, not of skilful speed. The word often carries a small frown — the result may be messy, thin, or lacking care. You can put it in front of a noun (a hurried note) or after a linking verb (His apology sounded hurried). Though actually, hurried is not simply “fast.” Fast can be proud and clean; hurried almost always means the speed came from pressure. And “I am hurried” is not what most people say when they need to go — they say “I am in a hurry.”
